Healthy Foods for De-Bloating and Flat Tummy

foods that won't make you bloat So a few days I ago, I did a post on Foods that Cause Bloating, and now you know which foods to AVOID when you want to look and FEEL your BEST (basically anything greasy, fatty, salty, bubbly, or alcoholic). Here is part 2 of how to prevent bloating: Foods you SHOULD eat when you want to beat the bloat.

You can indulge in these foods with worry less about the effect it will have on your waistband. As with any food, always make sure to eat SLOWLY and CHEW your food to help with digestion. Below are foods that won’t make you bloat.

Foods That Won’t Make you Bloat

Cucumbers and Celery: These amazing vegetables are loaded with water, helping to relieve bloating!

Asparagus: Has diuretic properties.

Zucchini: Few calories and filling.

Avocado: Healthy and filling with little content.

Parsley: Ever wonder why restaurants garnish plates with parsley? Parsley is super good for your digestion and metabolism!

Watermelon: Contains a ton of water that helps flush out toxins.

Red Grapes *Also great for satisfying a sweet tooth.

Grapefruit: Refreshing, hydrating(there is a rumor hey were negative calories. Not entirely true, but still a fun thought ;) )

Pineapple and Papaya: Great for digestion.

Bananas: Full of potassium, easy on the tummy.

Egg White: Packed with protein that will fill you up and help de-bloat you.

Plain Greek Yogurt and String Cheese: *Note- This was on the avoid list if you have a dairy intolerance. If you are able to digest lactose, choose greek yogurt or string cheese with low sugar for better digestion.

Almonds: Filled with protein that makes you feel full faster. Make sure to get unsalted!

Quinoa, Oatmeal, Whole Grains: Contain fiber that’s good for digestion.

Fish: Contains healthy omega-3 fatty acids that help with digestion.

Tea: **ginger, peppermint, or fennel tea can help relieve bloating.

 

Lastly, to fight bloat make sure to stay active and drink tons of WATER to help flush out excess salt and keep things moving!
